Where have the last 8 months gone?

Well, here we are - the 6th November. That means that Caelan is 8 months old today! Looking back, the last 8 months have flown by... I can't believe that I am returning to work THIS month! Although in a strange sort of way I am looking forward to going back to work, I am truly going to miss my Caelan time! I'm sure the majority of mothers say this, but Caelan is the best baby ever! He is so content and always happy and smiling, only crying when he's tired or hungry - which he obviously gets from me! I am really going to miss being there for all his milestones - this month alone he has got his first two teeth, learned the 'm' sound and gone from crawling to pulling himself up on his knees to standing up on his own! Imagine if I'm not there for his first step - I could cry thinking about it! He has also learned every manoeuvre possible to avoid having his nappy put on - that I won't miss so much ;-)

We are blessed that my Mom is coming over on the 23rd November from Canada to help us out by looking after Caelan for the whole month of December! Hopefully this will ease the transition of me going back to work for both Caelan and myself! She will also be here for Caelan's first Christmas which we are soooo excited about! David and I both love Christmas anyway, but having a little one makes it all the more special. For me, it brings back the magic of it all! It will be Grammy's first Christmas away from my dad and the longest they have been apart in 35 years - all for Caelan! He sure is a lucky boy :-) I'm sure he won't be spoiled...
