Since having my own child, I can totally understand what my own Mom meant when she used to say when I hurt, she also hurt. It is so true, I can feel Caelan's pain! I wish I could make it all better for him in an instant! Thinking about this had made me realise that I feel his pain so much that I can even feel it when he doesn't! Those bumps on his head seem to have no effect on him most of the time, it's me that cringes!
I thought a nice soak in the bath might do Caelan some good! I didn't fancy getting in with him as we usually do, so I got out his bath that we used when he 'little.' Within 2 minutes he had splashed so much there was only about half of the water left... whether or not it took the pain away from the nappy rash or not he definitely enjoyed it and it took our minds off it!
Sorry it's blurry, but he was moving fast!
That aleays happened with joe also when he was teething. The best thing i ever found for diaper rash was egg whites. I know it sounds gross, but whatever the enzyme in egg white is it works like a charm! We just whipped the egg whites and put it on his bum. It stayed good for a day or so in the fridge, just make sure not to contaminate it by using the same finger twice. :)
ReplyDeleteOh... interesting! I will have to try that! Did you put the diaper back on or leave it to air?
