Wow! Last time I wrote, it was the beginning of the term and here we are less than a week away from half term! It has been a busy half term with getting back in the swing of things and trying to make the most of our time with Caelan. Unfortunately, in doing all this I have not had much time for blogging and I've missed it!
School is going well, I have an adorable group of 10 kids that I'm working with. They are behind in Literacy and Numeracy and I support them to try to get them up to a level where they can work in class. I don't really like the idea of taking children out of their own class to learn, but I can see already that they are making good progress and hopefully some of them will have learned enough to go back into their class by the end of this term. Time will tell, but at the moment I am feeling optimistic!
Caelan has settled in really well with Salma. He is no longer crying in the morning and even smiled at her today! I am glad that he is happy, and gaining independence... but at the same time I still want him to be a little bit upset! I know that sounds completely selfish, but I can't help how I feel... Although I do feel better about it now than I did last week when he didn't cry the first time. It's great that he is getting to mingle with so many other children as well. Hopefully he will learn to start sharing soon... he attacked another child at our local under 1's group to get a toy from them! On the positive side, at least he gets what he wants... lol
We had our first (and probably only) snowfall on the weekend... I was waiting for it for ages in hopes that Caelan would love it, but he didn't really like it! He REALLY didn't like our snowman... He looked so cute all bundled up!
He is so much more aware of what is going on around him and he really tries to communicate with us. It is amazing to see him grow and develop every day... Can hardly believe that 1 month from today he will be 1 year old!!!!
